Facebook has recently overhauled Messenger’s design giving it a clean, fresh modern look. The company also added new chat themes. Messenger chat themes provide a simple way to customize the look and feel of a chat. Messenger themes change the default background and text colors.
Here’s how to change your Messenger background and Emoji.
This will take you to another page where you can customize your messenger theme, Emoji, and nicknames. You can also search for specific text in the chat, view shared photos and videos, turn notifications on or off, ignore messages, or even block the contact. But we’re not going to look at all of that.
Select a theme that looks compelling to you.
Options under the Themes section will change the colour of texts and also the background. Those under the Colours and gradient section will only change colours, but the default background colour will be retained.
Change your chat emoji. To change the chat emoji, select Emoji below the Theme in the profile menu.
That’s all you need to customize the look and feel of your Facebook Messenger.
Note: Facebook Messenger will notify the other person of these changes. So the other person will definetly get a notification for all of these changes made. Each change is a separate notification.
