Since it’s inception OnePlus strived to beat the competition by offering cheaper devices but with solid specs. This trick has worked magic for the company and you can tell the potential is immeasurable as many Chinese companies who take similar approach achieve bigger sales numbers. Case in point Xiaomi.
However, for the last few years of the concluded decade, OnePlus phones have seen price hikes although not as much compared to other behemoths like Samsung and Apple. It’s also clear that budget devices sell more and that’s why these two companies have embraced releasing such devices.
In that regard, OnePlus too wants a share of the budget market aimed at price conscious consumers. Co-founder Carl Pei has tipped about an incoming budget phone for sometime now and the company just announced the new series name.
Budget phones from the company will be known as OnePlus Nord. The first phone will be unveiled soon, according to the company. Targeted at price sensitive consumers, OnePlus Nord will cost less than $500.
The company will unveil the new series this month, according to a Morse code shared earlier on Instagram. Till this point, we have no further details on the specs front but with OnePlus, you have no doubt about that – specs will be pretty solid, at least for the budget conscious folks. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves lets wait and see.
Rumor mills have suggested that the phone will have a Snapdragon 765G processor, a 6.55-inch 90Hz OLED display, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. The phoen will be launched in India on 10th of July.
